6.5 inches of water fell on Maryland which led to a torrent of water rushing through the main street of Elliot City. So far, two people have died after getting caught in the torrent that damaged nearly every building in the town.
“Forecasters claim this is a one in a thousand rain event.”
Forecasters say this event was extremely rare and left a whole community shocked by the amount of destruction.
