A dedicated team of of our damage restoration experts are training hard for the upcoming London Triathlon on 22nd July, raising hundreds of pounds for Help For Heroes.
Andy Brixton, Rob Waters and Jonny Wakefield will aim to complete a gruelling course, which starts with a 1.5km swim across the River Thames. They will then undertake a 40km cycle before running 10km to the finish line.
Rob Waters explained:
“Having been in the forces myself, this event is very close to my heart. Also, Richfords has always had a link to the forces by recruiting former personnel to work in challenging projects. We currently have ex-RAF, marines and army people working across our depots. So, we thought it would be a great thing that we could do as a team to help injured servicemen and women.”
“The Triathlon really tests your resolve as each discipline demands complete fitness. However, the challenge is 100% worth it because the money goes towards rehabilitating men and women who have paid a huge price for their own dedication to duty and serving their country.”
The team have been training incredibly hard for this tough event. Richfords Fire & Flood has pledged to match any money raised by the team in their fundraising efforts.
